Being Conscious of Our Mental Diets

Being Conscious of Our Mental Diets

Welcome to this edition of the Weekly Circle—where we start the week with a few ideas that make us think.

This week we're reflecting on Mental Diets. American author Dan Millman said it best:

You don't have to control your thoughts, you just have to stop them from controlling you.

We've started this year with resolutions, and in my own life and those around me, many of us want to eat healthier. And that's great! But we don't think too much about being conscious of the information and media that we consume. This junk information (most of which we can't even recall the next day) is killing our productivity and efficiency. We have to be more selective and consume media that serves us, not just 'time-fillers'.

We'd love to hear from you!

What are some things you will cut down on or add to your mental diet?

I hope you cut out some media that isn't serving you and double down on less that will able to support your growth and recovery. Till next week!

Warmly,
Jesal
